Jen Strickler began her career in residential lending in 2004 with Trident Mortgage, out of Philadelphia. She started as a “Closer,” preparing all the settlement documents. Before long Jen was promoted to processing. She enjoyed working directly with buyers and agents. One day senior management at Trident approached Jen about a new insurance joint venture they were starting in Lancaster reducing her 82-mile commute to 22! Without delay, she shifted gears and became an insurance agent! “It was one of the highlights of my career and such an honor! We worked hard to get that agency off the ground. I’m proud of how far the agency has come in the last 15 years,” Jen explains. She stayed with the Trident family for 6 years until the President of Trident Insurance retired. “Right around that time, Morgan Stanley had approached me about joining a large brokerage team in Harrisburg to do business development. Again, it was another milestone and a flattering endeavor.” She passed the series 7, 66 & 33, all financial licensing requirements and “very tough tests.” She spent several years as a financial advisor but felt guided back to the mortgage industry. “I’m proud of my strong background & knowledge in the related fields, but it’s mortgage that I have always felt at home. My wide experience serves my mortgage clients well. It’s been the perfect journey,” Jen says.
She spent several years as a senior processor for one of the top loan officers in the country. And then took the natural progression back into sales and has been a loan officer for the last 4 years. Joining the Mortgage America team was a natural fit and logical move. “This is it. This is home. I love the family atmosphere & client-centric culture. Mortgage America embodies everything I have ever believed in and wanted in a company.”
Jen Strickler is a graduate of Elizabethtown College. She has two daughters that are 22& 24 and doesn’t mind being an empty nester! She enjoys being adventurous, whether it’s riding her Harley Davidson Softtail or competing in obstacle/mud races. If you need a 5k buddy, you can count her in! She relaxes with a nice red wine and enjoys working in her flower gardens. Jen spends a lot of time fixing up her small craftsman bungalow. She lives there with her best friend & partner, Dennis. Living right outside of Mount Gretna allows them to do lots of hiking & mountain biking.
